Summer Ice Time; Girls' Skills Clinic

We hope you all had a great holiday weekend.

Just a quick reminder, for those of you in town this summer, open hockey will be available Sunday evenings from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. Immediately after open hockey, from 6:25 to 7:25 p.m., K.J. McQuaid and Pete Cathone will run training sessions for goalies (goalies only, please).

All of these sessions are free of charge to players who are currently rostered on, and who have paid the initial deposit for, a Pelham Hockey team for the 2010-2011 season. All participants must wear full hockey gear, including neck guards, during these sessions.

Also, please remember that neither Pelham Hockey coaches nor Ice Hutch staff supervise open hockey sessions. Do not just drop your child off. Unless you have made arrangements with another parent or coach to supervise your child, you should remain in the rink in case your child is injured or otherwise requires your assistance.

The association has a number of sets of Mite-size goalie gear available for Mite-age players who would like to get a little goalie training in over the summer in preparation for the Mite cross-ice program next fall, during which most Mites will be asked to play goalie at least once. Please send an email to goalies@pelhamhockey.com to reserve a set of equipment for the sessions you would like your Mite player to attend.

EAST SECTION SUMMER SKILL CLINIC & FESTIVAL

SUMMER ZONE SKILL CLINICS

The NYSAHA Girls/Women’s Program is proud to offer regional development opportunities this summer for players who want to work on skills and have some fun, without giving up their entire school vacation. Skill clinics will be offered on Saturday July 17th from 8am - 4pm at the Westchester Skating Academy in Elmsford NY

COST - $65 /PLAYER

WHAT’S INCLUDED?
-Up to 4 hours of on ice skills and drills as well as off-ice activities
-Camp Jersey
-High Level Skill Instruction from College, Prep, Junior, and High level Youth Coaches

CAMP FORMAT
-Players will be exposed to skill development drills, small area and cross ice games
-Players will be grouped by ability
-Emphasis will be on making hockey fun!

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
-Designed for females in grades 5 through 12, but we will have a12U group and a 13+ group.

Players of all skill are welcome and will be grouped accordingly

HOW DO I SIGN UP?

- ON LINE REGISTRATION IS OPEN NOW THRU JULY 16TH
- PAYMENT IS MADE ON-LINE USING PAYPAL AND IS REQUIRED TO REGISTER.

IN ADDITION, PLAYERS MUST BE REGISTERED WITH USA HOCKEY FOR THE 2010-2011 SEASON IN ORDER TO ENTER THE PROPER USA HOCKEY REGISTRATION INFO.
